Stocking fillers for under £10

Hey guys! I hope you are doing well! The weather has dropped massively recently and it's beginning to feel more and more like Christmas which is very exciting although I can't believe it's actually December on Friday I honestly don't know where this month has gone! Anyway, if you are being super organised unlike me,  and are currently getting your Christmas shopping done I thought it would be useful to give you a little list of stocking filler ideas. Thes are aimed at anybody of any age really and they may be useful if you want to get your friends/ coworkers something that isn't going to break the bank! Some of these are items that I own that I have received/ would be happy to receive for a little stocking filler and some are just generic things that I have brainstormed that might get you thinking about what to get somebody! All of these items are under £10, because I don't think that anything more than that is really an affordable stocking filler it's basically the main present! By the way, this post is not sponsored at all by any brands these are all things I have thought of and love!

1) So firstly I wanted to mention this gorgeous book "Capture Your Style". I just bought this for myself and I think it would be perfect for anyone you know who's into social media and wants to grow their Instagram account, maybe a good present for a blogger friend! You can get it on Amazon here .

2) A trio of body sprays. Body sprays are such a good stocking filler because they are cheaper than perfume and so cute! I personally love these ones I own by Ted Baker, in fact for Ted Baker do lots of cute gifts around this time of year that would be perfect! Here is a trio that are very similar to mine from boots.

3) Hats and Scarves. This is a good present for anyone of any age/ gender! I personally love receiving hats and scarves in my sack and since it is Christmas I think that everyone would enjoy it! Primark do some really nice ones that are quite cheap! You can have a quick look here at my mini primark haul to see the hat and scaves I picked up!

4) Slippers. Something else anyone would enjoy to have in their sacks! Slippers are very useful in the winter and could be a good present for anyone you are struggling to think of what to get them!

5) Pjays. I love getting a pair of Christmas Pyjamas! I don't think anyone would turn them down! I really like Primark and M&S for pjamas!

6) Yankee candle votives. If the person you re buying for loves candles Yankee votives are a great thing to go for! You can buy a few votives (Small candles) for under £10 which can be really nice since full sized ones are very expensive! Plus this way they get to try out a few different smells to see which ones they like best.

7) Socks. Always a classic, need I say more?

8) Nail polishes. This could be a nice one for people any age! I think your young niece to your grandma would love to get some nail polishes! (Or nephews and Grandads!)

9) A book. Another classic! Usually about half of my Christmas list is books anyway so I would love to receive another one! (Ps, if you are thinking about main presents a kindle might be a really nice idea too, or perhaps a subscription to Audible, an audiobook subscription account.)

10) A lip balm set. In the cold weather lip balms never go amiss and you can get some really cute sets. I really like this one by Nivia!

11) Chocolate! Chocolate is like the classic stocking filler ( you probably already thought of this one...)

12) A gift card. If you are really struggling, you can always bob £10 on a gift card! I honestly really like receiving gift cards it means I can get what I want!

13) A 2018 planner. If you're a savvy shopper you will be able to find a nice 2018 planner for under a tenner!  I love getting a new diary or planner for Christmas! Like this one for £6.50 from Paperchase.

14) A scrapbook. Keeping with the stationery theme, a scrapbook might be a really nice present for someone whose creative! I love keeping my scrapbook and Hobbycraft do some nice ones for under £10! If you are feeling generous you could get them some washi tapes and stickers to go with it! This is the one that I have and it's £6

15) A colouring book. Also a creative present, a colouring book could be a great stocking filler! I have two colouring books and I would be very happy if I received another one!

16) Washing stuff. I'm sure you already thought of this but shower gels/ bath bombs ect make really nice stocking fillers! Boots have some really great deals on for example this Soap and Glory duo for £5!

I hope you enjoyed this stocking filler post! I hope I covered a range of items for different people or at least got you thinking about some good presents for people.

A mini primark haul

Hey guys! I hope you are doing well! I wanted to share a few things with you that I have picked up from Primark recently! There is not a lot but I really like what I have got.

Firstly, you may have seen on my Instagram, is a new hat and scarf. In the winter I basically live in hats and scarves and I wanted some new ones for a bit of variation! I love the mustard yellow of the hat and the scarf is a really pretty colour too!

The second thing I picked up was a new coat! This was only £30 and it's such good quality! I really love it and I've been reaching for it every day over my other coats!

Another thing I got was this burgundy pinafore! I love these and burgundy corduroy is just so autumnal!

The final thing I picked up was this pink jumper. These jumpers are really in at the moment, they're so soft and warm and the pink was my favourite!
I hope you enjoyed this really small Primark Haul!

How to be kind on a budget

Hey guys! I hope you are doing well! Today's post is a completely spontaneous one as I didn't even plan to write a post today but the idea came to me and I really wanted to share! Today is national kindness day and sometimes it can feel like you are not doing enough especially if you are on a budget! So I thought I would share some ways to be kind to people that don't cost a thing!

1) Play games to donate! This is a cool website which you can play games and for every answer, you get right they will donate rice to world food program! A fun way to procrastinate while also doing something nice!

2) Volunteer. charities and organisations love to have some volunteers so why not do something nice by giving up some of your time!

3) Compliment someone. Everyone loves receiving a nice genuine compliment so for the next person you see tell them one genuine thing you like about them/ their outfit.

4) Donate blood. Donating blood isn't for everyone but if you are up for it it would be a great way to help someone!

5) Text someone and tell them you love them! It's so nice to receive a nice unexpected text and it's a great way to make someone's day!

6) Send someone a letter. Not many people send letters nowadays and I am sure the person receiving the letter will love the effort you have put into it!

7) Buy someone their favourite snack. This is a little gift that won't cost you much and you can really cheer someone up with it!

8) Leave a comment on a post/ Instagram. This is more towards bloggers. but you could definitely leave a comment on your friend's new selfie too! I love it when people take the time to write something nice in my post!

9) Ask someone how they are. This is something that might seem trivial but can really make a difference to them. Listen carefully to what they have to say too!

10) Make someone a cup of tea. This is a really small thing that will mean a lot to someone!

11) Donate your loose change. All change adds up and if you have got a lot of it why not donate it or pop it into a charity box!

There you are, a few ways to make someone's day!
I hope you enjoyed this post,
Lots of love,

A little catch up...

Hey guys! I hope you are doing well! For today's blog post I felt like doing a chatty catch up style post and tell you about some of the things that have been happening in my life recently. I have a few crappy things to talk about that I sort of want to get off my chest but I also have some nicer stuff too!

First of all, I want to talk about the crappy stuff that I've been going through. Life has been a bit shitty throughout October actually and it's been quite a difficult time for various reasons. Unfortunately, we had to put my cat down last week and it hit me pretty hard. He was pretty old and he was not eating anymore and the vet just couldn't do anything. Honestly really horrible i mean it's never easy to lose a pet because they're like a part of your family and it's been awful because I have been at uni while it's been happening so I feel like I sort of missed out on saying goodbye. We lost my other cat in March and it's been quite hard to say goodbye to them both.
Also, I have received some pretty bad news that a family member of mine has cancer and another person who is dear to me has also been diagnosed with cancer which is always pretty hard to hear.

I started third year recently and I already feel behind! It's really hard to focus on work at uni when all you can think about is what's happening at home and third year is extremely stressful. I'm still not 100% sure what i even want to do with my life really and I am feeling so much pressure to pick something to do. I just don't know whether to do a masters or get some experience or what so I am definitely feeling under a lot of stress right now.

However, I am enjoying my third year actually. Despite all the stress I am enjoying my modules and I really like my dissertation and just generally enjoying being with my housemates for our last year together. I am thinking about maybe doing a whole blog post talking about my modules and my dissertation but I am not sure if you guys would really be interested!
I also have a reading week next week and I am looking forward to spending a few days at home and hopefully relaxing a little bit.

There have been some nice moments recently too. I went to a wedding and we went out for Halloween which was so much fun! I will put a picture in of my Halloween outfit, I was Avril Lavigne! Our theme was pop stars and it was a pretty fun night!
So yeah guys I hope you enjoyed this I feel like it's nice sometimes to talk about the things that are on my mind and that I have been up to and stuff.
Lots of love,
Eleanor x
